Do you think you’ve got what it takes to become David Hoyle’s opening act for his performance in the Liberties Festival in July?
We’re super-excited about The Liberties Festival 2016, which features the return to these shores of avant-garde, queer legend, David Hoyle.
Described as “unpredictable and unforgettable” by The Guardian’s Lyn Gardner, Hoyle’s unique act riffs on everything from queer culture to politics to sex and sexuality, presenting a controversial but always entertaining take on the world.
And that’s not all, folks. The Liberties Festival is inviting Ireland’s incredibly talented LGBT acts to audition to be David Hoyle’s opening act in the Tivoli Theatre on Friday, July 22.
It doesn’t matter what you do or how you do it, the festival are interested in showcasing whatever it is you have to offer. And don’t think this is a ploy to wheel in some free entertainment either.
Even though the festival is a volunteer-led, non-profit, charity-run event (with most of its events for free or at very low cost), the organisers pride themselves on the fact that they pay all artists, so you can expect remuneration for your fabulous performance!
To audition for a spot as David Hoyle’s opening act, please send your talent details, video (if you have one), and contact information to:
